Information and Policies
Media Center Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6:45 am - 3:00 pm
Fridays 6:45 am - 2:30pm
Passes to the Media Center:
Students need a pass from their teacher in order to visit the media center during class. No more than 3 or 4 students from any one class may come at a time. Students will need to sign in on the computer at the front of the media center and may ask to use a laptop if there is a class using the desktop computers.
Food and drinks:
No food or drink is allowed in the Media Center, except water.
Students may spend all or part of their lunch hour in the media center, however, the media center is to be used as a quiet study and reading area. Up to four students may study in groups if they are quiet. Media Center computers should be used for instructional purposes during lunch. Media Center staff supervising during lunch may ask students to leave if they are being disruptive. Students do NOT need a pass if they are coming during their lunch period. When we put up the "Full" sign, no more students will be allowed into the media center during that lunch period.
Students may check out up to 3 books and keep them for 3 weeks. Books can be renewed if not on hold for another student.
Late fees are five cents a day, with a maximum of $3.00 per book. If you have a fee of $2.00 or over, you will not be allowed to check out another book until the fee is paid.
Payment for lost books can be paid in the media center or through MyPaymentsPlus. Cost for hardback books is $20, while paperback books are $10.
Printing in black and white is FREE for school usage (10 cents for personal use); printing in color is 25 cents per page.
Photocopies can be made for 10 cents per page (see a member of the media staff for assistance).
