Information and Policies
Media Center Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6:45 am - 3:00 pm
Fridays 6:45 am - 2:30pm
Passes to the Media Center:
A properly filled out student agenda, with a teacher signature, serves as a pass during class. Students may come to the media center during their lunch periods and will need to sign in upon entering and sign out when leaving. Please sign in on the computer at the front of the media center.
Food and drinks:
No food or drink is allowed in the Media Center, except water.
Students may spend all or part of their lunch hour in the media center, however, the media center is to be used as a quiet study and reading area. Two to four students may study in groups if they are quiet. Media Center computers may only be used for instructional purposes. Media Center staff and teachers supervising during lunch may ask students to leave if they are being disruptive. Students do NOT need a pass during lunch, but they DO need to sign in on the computer and sign out if they are leaving before the bell rings.
Students may check out up to 3 books and keep them for 3 weeks. Books can be renewed if not on hold for another student.
Late fees are five cents a day, with a maximum of $3.00 per book, for regular books.
Reference books (including encyclopedias) may be checked out overnight only at the end of the day and must be returned before first period the following day. Late fees are 25 cents per day for reference books.
Printing in black and white is FREE for school usage (10 cents for personal use); printing in color is 25 cents per page.
Photocopies can be made for 10 cents per page (see a member of the media staff for assistance).
